High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) is high impact strength with a higher temperature rating than Low Density Polyethylene. It has higher tensile strength, good energy absorption, abrasion resistance and resists stress cracking. HDPE has a low coefficient of friction and is self lubricating. Applications include low speed bearings, tank/chute/bin linings, packing rings in chemical applications. HDPE is in the family of polyolefin's.

Polypropylene is in the family of polyolefins and offers a combination of outstanding physical, chemical, mechanical, thermal, and electrical properties not found in any other thermoplastic. Nylon 6/6 Rods and Sheet are typically used as material for insulators, shaft bearings and bushings, wear strips, hinges, gears, and general fixturing. Heat deflection temperature at 264 psi: 200 degrees F (93 degrees C). Color: Natural. A tough general purpose plastic with outstanding resistance to organic chemicals, acids and alkalis, Nylon 6/6 wears well against other surfaces and has a low coefficient of friction. It is readily machinable and may be milled, turned and cut with conventional machine tools. It does exhibit some dimensional swelling in wet applications, (up to 100 percent) which should be taken into account with its use.

PETG, or Polyethleneterephtalate Glycol Polyester is crystal clear with outstanding formability and no need to pre dry. This material cold bends without hazing or cracking and will not turn white when formed or bent. PETG is tough, durable and impact resistant, allowing downgauging. PETG resists chiping and cracking and can be safely sawed, drilled, punched, die cut, laser cut, welded, riveted or bonded. It also routes and edge polishes smoothly and be screen printed, painted and hot stamped. PETG will not turn white with cleaning solutions. Surface scratches and scuff marks can be removed with a common heat gun. PETG is odor free, and has a maximum operating temperature of 150 Degrees F.

PEEK is a semicrystalline thermoplastic with extraordinary mechanical properties. The Young's modulus is 3.6 GPa and its tensile strength 90 MPa. PEEK exhibits two glass transition temperatures at around 140 C (284 F) and around 275 C (527 F), depending on cure cycle and precise formulation. PEEK melts at around 350 C (662 F) and is highly resistant to thermal degradation. The material is also resistant to both organic and aqueous environments, and is used in bearings, piston parts, pumps, compressor plate valves, and cable insulation applications. It is one of the few plastics compatible with ultra-high vacuum applications. PEEK is considered an advanced biomaterial used in medical implants. It is used in the areospace industry primarily for its wide temperature range.
